Eastern European Restaurant
Deda - Saveurs Georgiennes (Georgian Flavours) is in the Rue Coquillère in Paris. This is a restaurant, wine cellar, bakery and fine grocers rolled into one. The Georigan way of making and enjoying food is presented in every manner possible depending on the time of day. De Da means mother in Georgian, both literally and in the metaphoric sense - nurturing, the motherland etc. Despite being stuck between Persian, Slavic, Asian and Mediterranean influences, Georgian cuisine has its own distinctive tastes and dishes. For special occasions, meat is always very important, it is marinated, cooked till it is tender or grilled over a fire of vine wood. There are always fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs to go with most dishes. The restaurant mirrors establishments in the Georgian capital of Tbilissi with vines and water features bringing nature to the city. Clients are welcome at all times of the day in Deda whether it is for lunch, dinner a snack or just a drink. You’ll be greeted by the smell of fresh bread as you pass the bakery at the entrance. If you’re not ready to eat straight away why not try a glass of wine in the bar area where you will be very well advised by the sommelier. The wine list is a real guide book from Paris to Tbilissi via Tuscany, Greece, Spain and Lebanon.
