Palmiers du Sinaï

Exterior, Palmiers Du Sinai, Paris, France.
Interior, Palmiers Du Sinai, Paris, France.
Lebanese Restaurant
Les Palmiers du Sinai is located in the trendy area of Montorgueil in the 2nd arrondissement in Paris. The restaurant serves oriental food with a preference for Egyptian influences. The owner Essa Sherif has created a calm oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the street, with fountains, plants, sand covered walls, coloured lights and a heady aroma of spices. Square tables with Arabic patterns fill the main room while the mezzanine area is a cosy space perfect for dining with friends. For lunch there are French dishes done in an Eastern fashion on offer like Eastern salmon or beef cooked with carrots and cumin. Every lunch there is a new dish of the day on offer or you can try one of the permanent fixtures of the menu such as the 3 soleils a mixture of three starters to share or the traditional prune and almond tajine, more unusual is the pear, honey and cinnamon tajine. At weekends you are likely to be treated to a belly dancing show during the dinner session. The downstairs area of the restaurant with its vaulted ceilings is great for private parties.
