| With a hearty brunch widely known as the best in Paris, Troubadours is a multilingual restaurant that unites the flavours of medieval recipes with a contemporary flair. Three spirited soprano voices entertain at the Troubadours, performing extracts from the operas and songs of Strauss, Mozart, Puccini, Vivaldi and Rossini between courses. Lovely starlets Aviva Timonier, Susan Miller and Elisa Doughty sing in wonderful high notes, whilst star chef “Patrick the Troubadour” serves up superior dishes for a fixed price. Sumptuously decorated, the patio and the main room feature rare artefacts and old books as part of the decor. The service is one of the most attentive and accommodating in Paris with Patrick doing the rounds of the tables explaining the dishes and espousing his own vast knowledge of medieval history in perfect English. The restaurant frequently organises cultural events such as lyrical concerts and poetry readings in English, Hebrew, Polish and Flemish. |
